One of the guiding principles of Freemasons is providing influence to strengthen our community. We believe investing in our young people will strengthen our communities. The Scottish Rite Scholarships are sponsored by the Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, and the Illinois Council of Deliberation. The following scholarships can be applied for on-line by clicking on the link above. The A. Colville Wilson and Illinois Masonic Outreach Services Scholarships have separate links to on-line applications.
Several scholarships are available each year through the Scottish Rite, with multiple awards made in each category. Scholarship amounts awarded depend on available funding and the number of applicants and their qualifications.
Grand Lodge Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship available to relatives of Master Masons. Available to applicants residing in Illinois that will be an undergraduate student attending an accredited college or university in the State of Illinois or a state contiguous to Illinois, with at least a “B” GPA. Application should be sent to the Scottish Rite Valley closest to applicants address.
Leon M. Abbott Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship, available to sophomores, juniors or seniors in an accredited college. Must have at least a 2.75 GPA and be a child or a grandchild of a Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Masonic youth organization, or a graduate of a 32º Masonic Learning Centers. Application should be sent to the Scottish Rite Valley of family affiliation.
Louis L. Williams Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship available to relatives of Scottish Rite Masons. Available to applicants residing in Illinois, with at least a “B” GPA, that will be an undergraduate student attending Illinois Wesleyan University. Application should be sent to the Scottish Rite Valley of family affiliation.
Robert B. Perkins Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship available to relatives of Scottish Rite Masons. Available to applicants residing in Illinois that will be an undergraduate student attending an accredited college or university in the State of Illinois or a state contiguous to Illinois, with at least a “B” GPA. Application should be sent to the Scottish Rite Valley of family affiliation.
Illinois Healthcare Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship not requiring Masonic relationship. Available to applicants residing in Illinois, pursuing a career in healthcare. Applicant should be an undergraduate student attending an accredited college or university in the State of Illinois or a state contiguous to Illinois, with at least a “B” GPA. Applications should be sent to the Scottish Rite Valley in which her/his home residence lies.
Sherwood & Evelyn Kresin Scholarship
Renewable, one year scholarship not requiring Masonic relationship. This scholarship has an exception
for the “undergraduate only” restriction. The recipient may be in an undergraduate or a graduate course
of study. There is no restriction regarding the recipient’s course of study.
Illinois Masonic Outreach Services Scholarship Program

The IMOS Scholarship is given annually in the amount of up to $3000 (with the amount subject to the availability of funds in the Endowment Fund) to Illinois Master Mason’s, Spouses, Widows, and Orphans for assistance in pursuing academic or trade school education.

Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite (AASR) Illinois Scottish Rite Masons provide scholarships to help individuals better themselves through the pursuit of knowledge. Scottish Rite Masons provide scholarships to help individuals pursuit of knowledge. Only completed applications will be reviewed. A complete application includes transcript(s) and three letters of recommendation. The aforementioned documents shall become the property of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite.
